Dr. Marisol Ucha

With a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Valencia and later in Dentistry from the Complutense University of Madrid, Marisol has moved between specialties, patients, classrooms, and offices with one clear goal: to defend ethical, close, and forward-looking dentistry.

After years of teaching at the Alfonso X el Sabio University, where she has taught subjects such as History and Preventive Dentistry, her commitment to the development of the profession brought her to the heart of college management. First as a member, then as vice-president, and in 2023, as first female president of the Official College of Dentists and Stomatologists of Madrid (COEM), the largest school in Spain.

Today he leads an organization that represents more than 10,500 members in Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha and Avila. From there, it promotes dentistry committed to quality, continuous training, professional ethics and the protection of professionals in the face of new challenges in the sector.

For Dr. Ucha, the COEM is not just an institution: it is a place of encounter, support and growth. Under his presidency, training programs, solidarity clinics, orientation for young dentists, days for students and public awareness campaigns have been reinforced. He has also decided to give back to the profession its human dimension, always remembering that “the mouth speaks of the entire patient” and that, beyond the technical aspect, it is about taking care of smiles, self-esteem and health.

Over the years, he has defended dentistry with a strong voice and a compassionate eye. As a teacher, manager and colleague, she remains a key figure in the advancement of modern dentistry that does not forget its roots.
